Armenian Citizen Fined for Smuggling Cigarettes
On July 3, a case of importing tobacco products was thwarted at the "Sadakhlo" customs checkpoint. This was reported by Aliq.ge.
Customs officers from the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia discovered 4,100 undeclared, duty-free cigarette sticks in the vehicle driven by Armenian citizen A.S. during a routine inspection based on suspicion.
According to Article 168, Part 3 of the Customs Code, the product was seized from the Armenian citizen for the violation, and a monetary fine of 1,000 lari was imposed as a penalty.
