Rescue Workers Halt Underwater Search for Citizen Missing for 6 Days
On July 2, at 10:40 AM, the specialized rescue team of the Emergency Situations Ministry of Gegharkunik Province was dispatched to the area adjacent to the "Arevik" recreational zone in Sevan city to resume the search operations for a missing citizen. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
At 5:16 PM, the search efforts were stopped; the citizen was not found.
It should be reminded that on June 26, at 1:04 PM, the National Center for Crisis Management received information that around 6:00 AM, a citizen (Kolya P., born in 1971) entered the lake with a boat near the "Arevik" recreational area to fish and did not return.
The underwater search operations carried out daily by the specialized rescue team of the Emergency Situations Ministry of Gegharkunik Province from June 26 to July 1 have concluded with no results; the citizen has not been found.
