Rescue Efforts for Missing Citizen Cease as Darkness Falls
On June 30, at 10:10 AM, the special diving rescue team of the Emergency Situations Ministry's Gegharkunik regional rescue department resumed operations in the area adjacent to the 'Arevik' recreation zone in Sevan City with the aim of continuing the search for a missing citizen.
At 8:34 PM, the search efforts were halted due to darkness, and the citizen had not been found.
It is worth noting that on June 26, at 1:04 PM, the National Crisis Management Center received information indicating that around 6:00 AM, a citizen (Kolya P., born in 1971) entered the lake for fishing from the area adjacent to the 'Arevik' recreation zone in Sevan City and did not return.
The daily underwater search efforts conducted by the special diving rescue team of the Emergency Situations Ministry’s Gegharkunik regional rescue department from June 26 to 29 have concluded unsuccessfully, with no sign of the missing citizen.
