23-Year-Old Obtained Loan in Someone Else's Name and Stole 1 Million Drams

A citizen reported to the police on March 13 that in November 2019, someone had used her personal information fraudulently to take out a loan in her name and had stolen 1,000,000 drams. A criminal case was initiated.

Thanks to measures taken by the Criminal Search Department of the Kanaker-Zeytun police, the identity of the perpetrator has been established. As a result of explanatory work, the 23-year-old came forward to the investigative body on June 30 and gave a confession.

Efforts are underway to recover the stolen amount. An investigation is ongoing.
