From July 1, a vehicle registered in the name of an individual will be registered according to the place of registration

The Traffic Police reminds that according to point 2 of the RA Government decision No. 1335-N of September 26, 2019, the following changes and additions to the RA Government decision No. 1251-N of September 9, 2010 will come into force on July 1, 2020.

A vehicle registered in the name of an individual will be registered according to their place of registration in the state population register. If an individual is not registered in the population state register, the vehicle will not be registered, except for servicemen on conscription, in which case the vehicle will be registered according to the last registered place in the population state register.

This information is provided by the press service of the RA Police. State registration and accounting procedures will be refused if the documents required by the aforementioned government decision of the Republic of Armenia are not submitted, or the individual in whose name the vehicle is to be registered is not registered in the population state register and/or a public services number has not been allocated or information regarding the non-allocation of a public services number has not been provided.
