Turkish Air Force Bombs Christian Communities in Northern Iraq

The Turkish Air Force has conducted bombings in the Isiv Ava village, populated by Christians in the Haftanin region of Northern Iraq, as part of the operation "Eagle Claw" launched against the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) on the evening of June 21. This information was reported by the Kurdish media outlet AnfTurkce, as conveyed by Ermenihaber.

The airstrikes from the Turkish military aircraft have caused significant damage to the gardens and lands of local farmers in the area. The source also reported that Turkish air forces bombed nearby settlements around the city of Zakho in Iraq.

It is noteworthy that the Turkish Ministry of Defense had earlier announced the commencement of the military operation "Pençe-Kartal" against the PKK, considered a terrorist organization in Turkey, in the northern regions of Iraq. The Turkish air force continues to carry out bombings in the regions of Sinjar, Karacuk, Kandil, Zap, Avashin Basyan, and Hakurk.
