40 People Assault the Founder of the 'Guardians of the Revolution' Initiative, Hayk Stepanyan, in Yerevan

According to SHAMSHYAN.com, an extraordinary incident occurred in Yerevan on June 21. At around 10:40 PM, Hayk Stepanyan, a resident of the Zovuni village in the Kotayk region, called the 102 emergency hotline of the Yerevan Police Department, reporting that he had been assaulted by around 40 individuals on Tichinayi Street in the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district.

It was revealed that on the same day, around 10:30 PM, an argument took place between H. Stepanyan and unidentified individuals near house number 81 on Tichinayi Street. According to Stepanyan's statement, these individuals attacked him with their hands and wooden sticks, as well as inflicted damage on his Toyota Camry vehicle, license plate number 65 GM 999. He also reported that during the incident, he was subjected to sexual insults.

While officers from the Malatia Police Division, led by Chief Igor Mesropyan, were working at the scene, forensic experts from the police's forensic investigation department, as well as criminal investigation officers from both the Yerevan police department and Malatia division, were actively working to identify some of the participants involved in the altercation based on operational intelligence measures.

Among those identified were Yerevan residents: 30-year-old Gor B., 32-year-old Abgar P., 31-year-old Vahe N., and 33-year-old Artashes G. According to G. Shamshyan, some of the participants in the argument voluntarily reported to the Malatia police division, while law enforcement is taking necessary operational and investigative measures to identify and locate the remaining individuals involved in the dispute.

A reporter at the scene also reported that a 'bita' and a wooden stick were discovered, which were seized by the investigator. Investigative materials are being prepared in the Malatia division of the police regarding the incident. As per G. Shamshyan's information, H. Stepanyan is known to the public as a founding member of the 'Guardians of the Revolution' initiative.
