Strong Wind in Geghanist Upends 13 Tombstones, Cars, and Torn Roofs of 70-80 Houses
A strong wind hit the community around 11:20 AM today, resulting in the loss of roofs from 70-80 buildings adjacent to homes, uprooted trees, and severe damage. This was reported by Senik Martirosyan, the head of Geghanist community in Shirak Province, during a conversation with ArmDaily.am.
According to Martirosyan, the wind started from the cemetery. “Thirteen tombstones have been overturned, some of which have been damaged, and vehicles along with agricultural equipment have been overturned, with some huts also wrecked,” he stated. He noted that they are currently assessing the extent of the damage.
