Vehicle Hits Pedestrian on Yerevan-Sevan Highway and Rolls into Ravine
On June 18 at 21:39, the National Crisis Management Center received information about an accident on the Yerevan-Sevan highway, near the "Hrazdan" sign. A firefighting and rescue unit from the Kotayk Regional Rescue Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene.
It was found that a vehicle identified as an "Opel Astra G" (driver: Karen A., born in 1985) hit a pedestrian named Hripsime P. (born in 1960) on the left side of the 48th km of the M-4 highway and rolled into a ravine (approximately 20 meters).
Before the rescuers arrived, Hripsime P. was taken to Hrazdan Hospital, where doctors assessed her health condition as moderate. The rescuers disabled the vehicle's electrical system, closed the gas cylinder valve, and conducted an area assessment. Special equipment is needed to retrieve the vehicle from the ravine.
