Tragic Car Accident in Aragatsotn Province, 29-Year-Old Driver Dies at the Scene

On June 17, a tragic car accident occurred in Aragatsotn province. According to Shamshyan.com, around 11:00 PM, Vanik Safaryan, a 29-year-old resident of Lori province, lost control of his Gazelle-brand truck under yet-to-be-determined circumstances on the 16th km of the Ashtarak-Ujan road. The vehicle veered off the roadway, collided with concrete barriers set up for a new road, and overturned.

As a result of the accident, driver V. Safaryan died at the scene. Emergency services from the 19th fire and rescue unit of the Aragatsotn provincial emergency situations department arrived promptly. Rescuers brought the body closer to the ambulance, then disconnected the vehicle's power, closed the gas cylinder valve, and secured the area.

Traffic police officers and an investigative group from the Investigative Committee of Armenia's Aragatsotn provincial division also arrived at the site. Investigations are underway regarding the incident.
