Mercedes-Benz E220 Car Crashes into Electric Pole in Gyumri; Injuries Reported

On June 16, at 01:27 AM, the Crisis Management National Center received a report of an accident on the road leading from the Mother Armenia Memorial in Gyumri to the Sevanski neighborhood.

A firefighting and rescue squad from the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Shirak region was dispatched to the scene. It was found that a Mercedes-Benz E220 vehicle (driver: Ashot M., born in 1998) collided with an electric pole at the intersection of Ter-Gabrielyan and Ozanyan streets, resulting in injuries to the driver and a passenger (Gurgen A.).

Before the rescuers arrived, local bystanders managed to pull the injured from the vehicle. The rescuers then assisted Gurgen A. by bringing him to the ambulance.

Both injured individuals were hospitalized at the Gyumri Medical Center, where doctors assessed their condition as serious. Rescuers also disconnected the vehicle’s power supply and closed the gas cylinder valve.
