Car Crashes into Electric Pole in Gyumri: Injuries Reported as Severe
On June 16, at 01:27 AM, the National Crisis Management Center received a report of a traffic accident on the road leading from the "Mother Armenia" memorial to the Severski neighborhood in Gyumri.
A firefighting rescue unit from the Shirak regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene.
It was found that at the intersection of Ter-Gabrielyan and Ozanyan streets, a Mercedes-Benz E220 (driver: Ashot M., born in 1998) collided with an electric pole, resulting in injuries to the driver and the passenger (Gurgen A.).
Before rescuers arrived at the scene, bystanders managed to extract the injured individuals from the vehicle. Rescuers then assisted Gurgen A. to the ambulance.
The injured were hospitalized at Gyumri Medical Center, where doctors assessed their condition as severe. Rescuers also disconnected the vehicle's battery and closed the gas cylinder valve.
