Tesla Named Most Expensive Car Brand in the World

Tesla's stock value has surpassed $1000, making the American company the most expensive car brand in the world, according to Autonews citing Bloomberg. The publication reports that Tesla's market capitalization has exceeded $190 billion, allowing the company to surpass both Toyota and Volkswagen.

This surge in stock prices follows the announcement by Tesla CEO Elon Musk regarding the readiness to launch the Tesla Semi electric truck series. The opening of the company's factory in China also contributed to these figures.

The first prototype of the Tesla Semi electric truck was showcased in November 2017. The production vehicles will be equipped with four electric motors, enabling them to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5 seconds and to tow a 40-ton trailer in 20 seconds. The top variant of the truck will be able to travel up to 1000 km without recharging the batteries.
