We Have Two Isolated Individuals and Several Self-Isolated Employees: Mnatsakanyan on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Staff

Journalists today asked Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan at the National Assembly about the number of infected individuals in the foreign ministry. “Overall, we assessed very early on how to reorganize work in the ministry and to facilitate online work. In the first phase, much greater resources were invested to address the issues arising from the pandemic. The biggest concern was related to the repatriation of citizens and the signs of a return to normal operations. Our main challenge is to ensure normal functioning. At this moment, we have been able to manage; we have two individuals who have worked and are now in isolation, along with several self-isolating employees who had contact with them,” he stated.

Journalists also inquired about the organization of aid to Armenia. Zohrab Mnatsakanyan responded, “We are working closely within the framework of the commandant's office; all of this is assessed as necessary, particularly regarding assistance. There can be various needs, related to consultations. You remember that we presented the willingness to provide support, and we all help each other when addressing evacuation issues. International cooperation is reflected in crisis situations; there are countries that have expressed their willingness to assist.”
