Mother of Former Chief of the General Staff of the Ministry of Defense Artak Davtyan's Wife Passes Away
According to Factinfo, the mother of the wife of the former Chief of the General Staff of the Ministry of Defense, Artak Davtyan, passed away the day before yesterday. Days prior, information circulated about a scandalous wedding ceremony held under quarantine conditions, reported to have taken place at the family-owned villa in Bagrevand, and that the hurried organization of the wedding was due to the serious illness of a family member.
A source close to Factinfo in the Ministry of Defense stated that Artak Davtyan's son's wedding ceremony took place in the backyard of the villa, outdoors, with very few guests in attendance. The wedding was attended by close relatives of the bride and groom, while even their closest friends were not present at the ceremony. The wedding was held at the request of the groom’s late grandmother.
It should be noted that following the controversial wedding, former Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Artak Davtyan resigned, and soon after, details about the ongoing events in the General Staff emerged in the newspaper Hayots Ashkharh. It turns out that the situation was not limited to the dismissal of Davtyan. According to the newspaper's sources, the new chief is planning personnel changes, and it is possible that officials appointed by Davtyan will be dismissed in the near future.
