Davtashen Community Head and Some Employees Self-Isolating Due to Confirmed Coronavirus Case

According to ArmDaily.am, coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the Davtashen community of the Aragatsotn region. Specifically, the virus has been confirmed among employees of the community administration who attended a funeral service. The employees of the community administration have been isolated.

In a conversation with us, community leader Gevorg Hovhannisyan noted that currently around 10 individuals are self-isolating. “I and some other employees of the community administration are also self-isolating. At this moment, there are 2 confirmed cases, which are not connected,” he stated.

He mentioned that it was revealed today that the secretary of the community administration has contracted the virus. “I last interacted with him about a week ago,” he added.

“The other person contracted the virus from their doctor, has no connection to this case, and has not even visited the community; they went for dialysis and the doctor was infected. Only their relatives have been in contact with them,” said Hovhannisyan.
