621 Citizens in Shirak Under Home Quarantine

As of June 9 at 11:30 AM, there are 75 patients being treated for coronavirus at the Gyumri Infectious Diseases Hospital, 42 of whom are residents of the Shirak region. This information comes from the Facebook page of the Shirak Regional Administration.

A total of 192 residents of Shirak have recovered from the coronavirus and have been discharged from the hospital so far. Currently, there are 621 citizens in Shirak who are under home quarantine, with 93 of them testing positive for the virus and showing asymptomatic conditions. Monitoring is being conducted by primary healthcare providers.

Moreover, 28 patients have been transferred to the capital. There have been 10 recorded deaths related to the virus. From March 1 to date, a total of 2,575 tests have been conducted in Shirak’s healthcare facilities and the regional center of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Between May 12 and June 8, 1,252 tests were carried out in Gyumri.
