If the Strategy is Effectively Implemented, the Virus Will Retreat in 2 Weeks and We Will Have a Chance to Return to Normal Life - Suren Sahakyan
The Secretary of the Executive Body of the Citizen's Decision Party, economist Suren Sahakyan, has addressed Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's Facebook live titled "Hidden Contexts and Layers of the Coronavirus Issue" on his own Facebook page.
“Yesterday, the Prime Minister finally spoke about the strategy for SUCCESSFULLY overcoming the pandemic during his Facebook live titled ‘Hidden Contexts and Layers of the Coronavirus Issue’. This involved a strategy for creating an immunized barrier. During the broadcast, he insisted that this strategy could not have been adopted 2 months ago because the disease needed to be studied. Of course, it could have been discussed then; all the arguments were already on the table, and there was extensive discussion about it in the public arena. It is perhaps still the only reasonable strategy available. There is, of course, the fact that those talking about this did not carry the same burden of responsibility as the government. Well, better late than never.
What remains is that this should not happen spontaneously, but rather should be MANAGED, and, as has become customary, they shouldn’t decide to revert to total restrictions. In the latter case, this situation will simply be postponed, and after lifting the restrictions, it will recur. If the strategy is effectively implemented, the virus will retreat in 2 weeks, and we will have a chance to return to normal life—without fear of a new wave in the autumn,” he wrote.
