A New Highway Connecting Artsakh to Armenia Will Be Constructed
The President of the Republic of Artsakh, Araik Harutyunyan, and the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia, Suren Papikyan, visited the southern part of the Kashatagh region, where the construction of a new highway connecting Artsakh to Armenia will begin. Minister Suren Papikyan announced this on his Facebook page.
“The new road being built in the south will connect the city of Hadrut with Armenia through the southern branch of Kashatagh. Today, the grain harvest in southern Kashatagh was a symbolic event in anticipation of the construction of the new highway connecting Artsakh to the motherland,” said Papikyan.
According to him, the new highway will have vital communication and strategic importance for the socioeconomic advancement of both Armenian republics, as well as for the citizens living and working in southern Artsakh.
