Change in the 8th Program to Mitigate the Economic Effects of Coronavirus
In today’s government meeting, changes were made to the 8th program aimed at mitigating the economic effects of the coronavirus. The Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Arman Udumyan, presented that the draft proposes to expand the list of sectors affected in the private sector due to the coronavirus, with one-time support for employees and individual entrepreneurs.
The additional 9 sectors include the production of textile products, wood processing, production of items made from wood, bamboo, straw, and woven materials (excluding furniture), production of paper and paper products, production of rubber and plastic products, manufacturing of computers, electronic and optical equipment, electrical equipment production, activities supporting entrepreneurial endeavors, and the repair of computers, personal usage and household items as well as activities related to physical health maintenance.
