Auto Accident in Syunik Region: Injuries Reported
On June 2, an auto accident occurred in the Syunik region. Around 2:00 AM, 29-year-old Vanush G. from Kapan collided with a parked Daewoo Kalos, owned by 37-year-old Arsen B. from Yerevan, while driving his UAZ-469 vehicle on Gortsaranayin Street in Kapan. The impact caused the Daewoo to move forward and crash into an Opel Vectra owned by Erik M., which then collided with a Subaru owned by Arthur H.
According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, a passenger in the UAZ, 24-year-old Alen I. from Kapan, sustained bodily injuries and was taken to Kapan Medical Center. Hours later, the UAZ driver also sought medical attention at the same facility.
Officers from the 2nd platoon of the 6th company of the Road Police arrived at the scene, led by platoon commander Gegham Margaryan and squad commander Armen Sargsyan. The investigative work at the scene was supervised by senior investigator Vahe Kostanyan, who is preparing materials regarding the incident.
