VIDEO: Protests in New York Turn into Mass Looting

In New York, peaceful protests organized in memory of the African American wrongdoer George Floyd have devolved into mass looting. As night fell, looters raided stores in Manhattan, reports dailymail.co.uk. They targeted shops selling sports goods, electronics, and luxury jewelry, with a total of over 10 stores being looted.

Small groups of protesters also remained on the streets at night, thus violating the city’s curfew set for 11 PM. A significant police presence was dispatched to this area to restore order.

In Chicago, the mob also looted a passing train. Footage of the incident has been shared on social media, showing how some of the looters are pulling electronics and other items from the train while others are running behind, selecting items.

It is important to note that mass protests began recently following the release of a 10-minute video on social media showing a police officer pinning an African American named George Floyd to the ground with his knee pressing on Floyd's neck. Ignoring the man’s pleas and his inability to breathe, the officer refused to let him go, resulting in Floyd’s death.
