I Learned About the June 1 Event from the Prime Minister's Post, Says Shengavit Community Leader
The head of the Shengavit administrative district, Razmik Mkrtchyan, stated in an interview with NEWS.am on June 2, that he learned about the June 1 event held yesterday in the district from the Prime Minister's post.
"The event was organized in the courtyard of buildings 34 and 36 on Bagratuniats Street. The administrative district has no connection to this incident. We spoke with the community association, and they also did not organize it. The parents organized this event themselves, and I believe they will be held accountable. It is doubly surprising that this behavior was exhibited in connection with the Day of Protection of Children's Rights and supposedly for the sake of the children," he said.
According to Mkrtchyan, everything that depended on the administrative district was implemented: "We have halted activities in the parks, announcements have been distributed, and amusement attractions in the parks have not operated."
It should be noted that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan posted a video on his Facebook page today, stating that it was sent to him and assured that the event took place yesterday in the Shengavit administrative district.
