First Coronavirus Case Confirmed in Tandzut Community on Anna Hakobyan's Visit Day

On the day of Prime Minister's wife Anna Hakobyan's visit, May 27, the first case of coronavirus was confirmed in the Tandzut community of the Armavir region. This news was reported to NEWS.am by the head of the Tandzut community, Mkhitar Petrosyan.

He stated that during this period, there have been 2 recorded deaths among residents, both of whom were confirmed to have had the coronavirus disease. However, the community head mentioned that he could not say whether the deaths were indeed caused by the virus or not.

“Currently, 3 residents are being treated in the hospital, while the rest are at home; I cannot publish the numbers,” said the community head, adding that the infected individuals are mostly young people.
