Major Car Accident in Gegharkunik Region: 24-Year-Old Driver Crashes Mercedes into Power Pole, Injuries Reported

On May 29, a major car accident occurred in the Gegharkunik region. Around 10:30 PM, 24-year-old Julver Hakobyan, a resident of the village of Tsakqar, lost control of his Mercedes vehicle on the 59 km stretch of the Sevan-Martuni-Geghama highway. Under still unknown circumstances, he veered off the roadway, collided with a power pole, broke it, and ended up outside the traffic lane.

According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, two passengers, who are fellow villagers of the driver, 21-year-old Karen Hakobyan and 22-year-old Karen Yeghoyan, were taken to the Martuni Medical Center with bodily injuries.
