No Strong Earthquake Recorded in Armenia; Ministry of Emergencies Denies Online Reports
Reports circulating on the internet regarding the sensation of a strong earthquake in the territory of the Republic of Armenia have been addressed by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations officially declares that there is no basis for spreading such information. The earthquake in question occurred on May 4, 2020, in the Azerbaijan-Georgia border area, and was felt in the Tavush and Lori regions of Armenia at a magnitude of 2-3, for which a notification was made in accordance with the established procedure.
