The Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, presided over by Judge Karen Farhoyan, has decided to extend the detention period of former Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Gevorg Loretsyan by another two months, thereby granting the request of the preliminary investigation body.
This was stated by Loretsyan's lawyer, Levon Sahakyan, in an interview with NEWS.am.
“They are trying to create grounds for bringing charges against Gevorg Loretsyan under a different article. The Appellate Criminal Court has also concluded that investigative actions are being conducted under another article of the Criminal Code. I cannot provide further details at this time,” he noted.
