About 80 People Infected with Coronavirus at Tavush Textile
We have not yet received the test results for all employees of the Berd factory, but at this moment, we have about 80 confirmed cases. This was stated by Mikael Yezekyan, the executive director of Tavush Textile, in an interview with ArmDaily.am today.
“Currently, the mask production is fully operational, tests have been conducted, and the results have been negative; now we are waiting for permission for the remaining workshops to also resume operations. There have been no incidents in the mask production shop, we immediately tested the staff, and they did not have any contact with others, it is a separate workshop. The rest of the employees who are considered contacts are currently at home,” Yezekyan told the news outlet. The glove production workshop is not functioning as well.
According to Yezekyan, strict safety rules are being followed at the factory: “The virus comes from everyday life; everyone has had some interactions outside, and they were already infected outside. Here, the distance is arranged so that they do not even come close to each other, nobody enters each other’s space.”
Regarding the health condition of the infected employees, he mentioned that they are all feeling well, even without fever: “We do not have any severe cases, and we probably won’t, as about 14 days have passed since the first case was confirmed. The shift supervisor is also infected.”
