As of May 27, 47 Patients Being Treated for Coronavirus at Gyumri Infectious Diseases Hospital
As of May 27, 47 patients are receiving treatment for coronavirus at the Gyumri Infectious Diseases Hospital, 20 of whom are residents of Shirak Province. A total of 245 patients have recovered from the virus and have been discharged from the hospital, among which 167 are residents of the province. This information was provided by the Shirak Provincial Administration.
Since the first day of the disease registration, 340 residents of Shirak Province have tested positive for the virus, of which 259 actually reside in the province, while 81 are registered in the province but do not live there. Additionally, 26 patients are undergoing treatment in the capital. There have been 9 reported deaths.
“Currently, 315 citizens are under self-isolation at home in Shirak Province, with 18 of them having tested positive, showing asymptomatic progression of the disease. Their monitoring is being carried out by the primary health care sector. Since March 1, a total of 1866 samples have been taken in healthcare facilities in Shirak Province and at the provincial center of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention, with 543 tests conducted in Gyumri from May 12 to 26,” the provincial administration reported.
