Strong Winds Expected Across the Republic of Armenia, Rain in Certain Areas
Due to the influence of a cyclone from the south, strong winds are anticipated across the territory of the republic. The Ministry of Environment’s Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center warns that on May 24-25, especially in the afternoon, significant parts of the republic's regions will experience wind gusts of 25-30 m/s, while in certain settlements, it may reach 30-35 m/s, which is considered a hazardous hydro-meteorological phenomenon.
The announcement indicates that in Yerevan and the Ararat Plain, the maximum wind speed is forecasted to be 20-22 m/s on May 24-25.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations also reports that the air temperature will drop by 8-10 degrees by tomorrow. Rain and thunderstorms are expected over the next two days. From May 26-28, dry weather is anticipated.
