Over 2,067,574 People Have Recovered from Coronavirus Worldwide
More than 2 million people worldwide have recovered from coronavirus, according to data from the American Johns Hopkins University.
As of May 23, the number of recoveries has reached 2,067,574. The United States leads in recovery numbers with over 350,000 having recovered. However, the US also leads in the number of cases and deaths, with more than 1.6 million confirmed cases and approximately 96,000 fatalities.
The second highest number of recoveries is in Germany, with nearly 160,000 recoveries out of almost 180,000 confirmed cases, while Spain ranks third, having seen 150,000 recoveries out of 235,000 confirmed cases.
Globally, over 5.2 million people have been diagnosed with coronavirus, and more than 338,000 have died. The outbreak of pneumonia associated with Covid-19 was first identified in December 2019 in Wuhan, China. On March 11, the World Health Organization declared it a pandemic.
