Yerevan Zoo Opens to Visitors Today
The Yerevan Zoo will resume operations starting May 18. Due to the restrictions imposed by the state of emergency, entry to the zoo will be permitted only with personal protective equipment - masks and gloves. A sufficient number of alcohol-based hand sanitizers will be available at the entrance. Temperature checks will be conducted for individuals entering the area.
Considering safety concerns, there will also be restrictions within the zoo. Feeding animals will be prohibited, and guests will not be allowed to touch metal surfaces. Visitors must maintain social distancing, and there will be supervising personnel to ensure compliance. The number of visitors in the zoo will be monitored.
The Yerevan Zoo urges patrons to call in advance and book entry tickets to avoid unnecessary inconveniences. The zoo will operate daily from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Disinfection will be carried out twice a day throughout the area.
Specifically, feeding the animals is prohibited. Touching metal surfaces is not allowed. Social distancing must be observed within the zoo, with responsible personnel overseeing compliance. The number of visitors in the zoo will be regulated.
