Patient Confirmed with Coronavirus Infection, but Death Caused by Other Illness

As of May 18 at 11:00, a total of 4,823 cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed, of which 2,019 have recovered and 61 have resulted in death. Currently, 2,718 patients are undergoing treatment for the coronavirus. A total of 41,850 tests have been conducted.

Thus, we have 351 new confirmed cases of coronavirus and 94 recoveries. Regarding the death case, the Ministry of Health reports that the patient was 84 years old (male) and had underlying chronic diseases. The previous day, there was one reported death where the patient was confirmed to have a coronavirus infection, but the death was due to another illness. The total number of such cases is 25.
