Investigators Spare No Efforts to Turn Ruben Hayrapetyan's Son, Victim of Crime, into a Defendant: Lawyer
The lawyer of former President of the Football Federation of Armenia and former MP Ruben Hayrapetyan, Amram Makinyan, writes on his Facebook page: "The victim becomes the defendant, and the defendant becomes the victim... This is how procedural statuses are changed with the help of a magical wand... The investigators of the Investigation Committee dealing with 'particularly important cases' spare no efforts to turn Ruben Hayrapetyan's son, Rafik Hayrapetyan, who is a victim of crime, into a defendant, while the real defendant is the victim... What is the issue? Years ago, the director of a company belonging to Rafik Hayrapetyan fraudulently obtained a loan amounting to tens of millions in the name of the company without his knowledge and consent, cashed the money, and spent it for personal needs... A straightforward situation... And now, instead of investigating this fact and naming things properly, evaluating the commission of the apparent crime, and taking measures to bring the defendant located abroad back to Armenia to stand trial, the investigators engaged in 'particularly important cases' are committed to fulfilling the especially important desires of a well-known figure—avenging Ruben Hayrapetyan at all costs... I won't say anything new when I state that throughout centuries, there has never been the obsession of removing a parent's grudge from a child in our genes... Perhaps, under modern times, some people's genes have changed... Oh people, oh times... Stay healthy..."
