Charges Filed Against Colleagues and Officer in Connection with the Death of Conscription Soldier Sasun Margaryan

In the case of the death of conscription soldier, private Sasun Margaryan, the first garrison investigative division has filed charges based on sufficient evidence gathered during the ongoing criminal investigation. Lieutenant H.H. is charged under Article 358.1, Part 3, Subpart 1 of the RA Criminal Code for committing violent actions against a subordinate.

Moreover, junior sergeant G.S. faces charges under Article 358.1, Part 3, Subpart 1, Article 359, Part 1, Article 182, Part 1, and Article 360.1, Part 2, Subparts 2 and 3 for committing violent actions against a subordinate, violating the established regulations on military personnel relations in the absence of a subordinate relationship, extortion, and causing the soldier to commit suicide through carelessness.

Both individuals have been remanded in custody as a precautionary measure. The preliminary investigation continues.
