One Participant Shot at Another During Domestic Dispute

On the night of May 4, the Goris Medical Center alerted the Goris Police Department that a 45-year-old resident of Goris had been admitted with a gunshot wound. Operational investigative teams, upon arriving at the hospital, conducted a series of complex reconnaissance measures and investigative actions to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

According to information available to the investigation, the man sustained his gunshot injury in one of the bakeries in the Tegh community of Syunik. It was revealed that two men had argued over domestic issues, during which one shot at the other.

Authorities soon identified the location of the suspect. The 44-year-old resident of Goris was quickly located and taken into custody by the Goris Police Department, after which he was presented to the body conducting the preliminary investigation of the case. He has confessed to his involvement in the incident and has been arrested.

Subsequent measures by law enforcement also led to the discovery of the firearm used in the crime; a Makarov pistol was found in the car of the suspect's friend. Various examinations have been ordered. The preliminary investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.
