In 2019, Armenia Achieved Highest Economic Growth Since 2008 at 7.6%: Prime Minister
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, presenting the government's report for 2019 to the National Assembly, focused on the directions of economic development. He stated, "This provision has been adopted: for the next 5 years, the government’s activities will be aimed at building a high-tech industry that meets environmental standards, promotes exports, and fosters a competitive and inclusive economy. Key provisions include promoting employment and reducing poverty.
2019 was the first full year after the revolution, which should provide insight into the post-revolutionary government and its economic potential," the Prime Minister emphasized.
He highlighted that in 2019, Armenia recorded its highest economic growth of 7.6% since 2008, the highest in the region.
