Khachatryan Must Address What He Received in Exchange for Donating Hundreds of Thousands of Dollars Worth of Property to Yerevan Community - David Khajakyan

David Khajakyan, the head of the Yerevan City Council's 'Lus' faction, wrote on his Facebook page: 'Gurgen Khachatryan, co-founder of the 'Galaxy' group of companies and chairman of the board of Ucom, released a statement today about pressures being exerted by high-ranking officials. If Mr. Khachatryan has indeed faced illegal actions from state bodies, the public announcement should be comprehensive—neither selective nor strategically convenient.

In particular, Mr. Khachatryan should clarify what he received in exchange for donating hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of dollars worth of property to the Yerevan community, and whether he was requested to provide that property in return for something. If this matter is not addressed, it will seem that only information that has not resulted in mutually beneficial agreements with the authorities is being aired.

When Khachatryan also speaks on this issue, as a public figure, I will be ready to join his voice of protest against the injustices, as I consider the presence of pressure at this stage to be highly likely.
