Dear Citizens, The Government Has Money Saved. Demand It Be Released and Given to You, Marukyan

“So what has happened, during the last two years, the luck of the citizens of Armenia may have changed, and there are savings; there has been a failure in capital construction, it has been a good tax year, people have imported many cars, and they have paid many taxes: Currently, there are 385 billion drams in these savings, of which 200 billion drams are free money that the government can spend to support our people and inject into the economy. Now the government says that since taxes will not be collected, we should keep this for later use. This would be populism if our citizens did not need it; if we said 'give it to us.' The whole world has given money to people; this is the most effective means, not various programs. Dear citizens, the government has money saved; there should be solidarity and a demand formed for that money to be released and given to you. It is your money,” announced the head of the LHK, Edmond Marukyan, in the National Assembly.
