Options for Easing Restrictions Discussed in Government

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, a meeting of the commission coordinating the prevention of the spread of coronavirus in the Republic of Armenia was held at the government.

According to the government’s press service, Deputy Prime Minister and State of Emergency Commander Tigran Avinyan addressed the measures being implemented within the framework of the policy to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. He discussed future actions and the organization of work in various sectors, including economic, social, educational, cultural, and public life.

Ideas were exchanged on the manageability of the epidemiological issue, possible easing of restrictions on movement and economic activity, control mechanisms, and several other topics. Following the meeting, relevant decisions from the Commander of the State of Emergency are expected in the near future.
