According to the Japanese magazine Shukan Gendai, the health of the North Korean leader deteriorated after a visit to a rural area in April. Following that, he underwent stenting and has been described as being in a vegetative state, according to a source from the group treating the North Korean leader.

It is worth noting that CNN had earlier reported on a serious deterioration in Kim Jong Un's health. However, North Korean authorities denied this information, asserting that the leader is fulfilling his duties as usual. After this, Reuters reported that China has sent doctors to North Korea, but did not disclose the purpose of their visit.
