Turkey Must Acknowledge This Crime, Says EPP Vice President

European Parliament member and Vice President of the EPP group, former Latvian Foreign Minister Sandra Kalnieti, has addressed the 105th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide on her Twitter page.

“Today marks the 105th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire. Let us hope that such tragic events will never happen again. Turkey must recognize this crime. This is crucial for reconciliation between Armenia and Turkey,” she stated in her post.
