Turkey Reports 3,083 New COVID-19 Cases in One Day
According to data summarized on the evening of April 22, 117 people have died from the new type of coronavirus in Turkey. This was announced by Turkey’s Minister of Health, Fahrettin Koca, on his official Twitter account. Ermenihaber reports that the minister stated, during a 24-hour period, 37,535 tests were conducted, resulting in the confirmation of 3,083 new COVID-19 cases.
During the same period, 117 deaths related to the virus were recorded, and an additional 1,559 people have recovered. In total, 16,477 patients have recovered from the pandemic in Turkey, while 1,814 patients are currently in intensive care.
As of the latest data, Turkey has reported a total of 98,674 confirmed cases of coronavirus and 2,376 deaths. The total number of tests conducted has reached 750,944.
