Special Entry and Exit Regime Established in Vardenis: Deputy Prime Minister
According to the decision No. 48 of April 21, 2020, by Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan, a special entry and exit regime has been established in the Vardenis community of Gegharkunik Province, along with certain restrictions.
“Following point 7 of the annex to the decision No. 298-N of March 16, 2020, of the Government of the Republic of Armenia on declaring a state of emergency in the Republic of Armenia:
- A special regime for entry and exit into the administrative boundaries of the Vardenis community shall be established, prohibiting the entry and exit of individuals and vehicles, except for the delivery of essential goods, supplies, food, medications, and fuel.
- An exception has been established for those having permanent residency or actual residence in the Vardenis community until 08:00 on April 22, 2020.
- To implement the special regime, special checkpoints and inspection points will be installed at designated locations by the National Security Service and the Police of the Republic of Armenia to inspect the individuals and vehicles permitted to enter the administrative area of Vardenis.
2. The Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan, the head of the National Security Service Eduard Martirosyan, the Police Chief Arman Sargsyan, and the Governor of Gegharkunik Province Gnel Sanosyan are instructed to ensure the implementation of this decision.
3. This decision comes into force from the moment of publication and remains valid until April 28, 2020, at 23:59,” the decision of the deputy prime minister reads.
