Gold Prices Rise: Precious Metal Values on NYMEX
As of April 20, the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) reported the following values for gold, silver, and platinum:
Gold prices increased by 0.65%, reaching $1705.50 per troy ounce. Silver saw a rise of 0.52%, bringing its price to $15.42 per troy ounce, while platinum experienced a decline of 1.24%, settling at $781.70 per troy ounce.
All measurements are based on the standard unit of one troy ounce, which is equivalent to 31.1 grams. NYMEX is an American futures exchange that trades in two primary divisions: NYMEX itself for oil, gas, platinum, palladium, ethanol, coal, electricity, and carbon dioxide emissions, and COMEX for gold, silver, copper, and aluminum.
