100 Citizens of Armenia Return to Yerevan on Flight from Rostov-on-Don
The Embassy of Armenia in the Russian Federation reports that, based on an agreement between the Armenian Consulate General in Rostov-on-Don and the Azimuth airline, a charter flight from Rostov-on-Don to Yerevan took place on April 20. This flight enabled 100 Armenian citizens residing in the south of Russia to return home.
The free return of citizens was organized thanks to the efforts of the Armenian community of Rostov-on-Don, community leader Harutyun Surmalyan, and the Consulate General. Priority for the return was given to citizens previously listed who faced accommodation issues in southern Russia, especially in Rostov region; those currently residing in accommodation provided by the Consulate General; families with young children; senior citizens; and those requiring post-surgery recovery or medical treatment to return to Armenia, as well as citizens in extremely difficult situations.
Those who returned on this flight will be subject to a mandatory 14-day quarantine regime.
