Testament to a Disorganized Working Style: Keeping the Prime Minister Uninformed About His On-Air Status, Says Pashinyan's Spokesperson
The distribution of the Prime Minister's address by the Public Television station to other TV channels at the request of the Prime Minister's Office does not mean that the station should have provided a live broadcast from the very beginning of the preparatory work. This was stated by the Prime Minister's spokesperson Mane Gevorgyan on her Facebook page.
“A professional approach implies that a live broadcast should have been communicated to other TV channels only a few seconds before airing, not 5, 10, 15, or 20 minutes in advance. However, it turned out that the Public Television station provided a live broadcast to other channels at least 15 minutes beforehand without informing the Prime Minister's Office.
The Prime Minister's press service was informed about the live broadcast only 20 seconds before the address and gave the countdown necessary for the live broadcast, after which the address began. Furthermore, the government's press service was informed that before the start of the Prime Minister's address, there would only be a photo on-air, including in the live broadcast.
The incident indicates that making a trial broadcast available to other TV channels is a result of unprofessionalism, as even novice specialists in the field are aware that broadcasts are tested beforehand, before inviting the Prime Minister in front of the camera.
Keeping the Prime Minister uninformed about the fact that he is on-air, even if it is a trial, is also a clear indication of a disorganized working style. Only someone completely unaware of the business could assume that a live broadcast for other TV channels is needed to be secured 15 minutes before the address. The Prime Minister's Office expects appropriate clarifications from the television station regarding the leakage of technical rehearsal footage,” she wrote.
