The Number of Coronavirus Infections in Azerbaijan Reaches 1197

The total number of coronavirus infections in Azerbaijan has reached 1197, with 49 new cases recorded in the last 24 hours. This was announced on Tuesday by the operational headquarters under the country's government, according to RIA Novosti.

"In Azerbaijan, 49 new cases of coronavirus infection have been recorded, 62 people have recovered and been discharged from the hospital. As of today, a total of 1197 infection cases have been detected in the country, 351 people have recovered, 13 have died, and 833 continue to receive treatment in special mode hospitals," the headquarters' statement said.

It was specified that the condition of 24 infected individuals is assessed as severe, 28 as moderate, and the condition of the other patients is stable.

The World Health Organization declared a pandemic on March 11. The virus has spread to more than 200 countries. Worldwide, the number of infections has exceeded 1.9 million, with the death toll surpassing 120,000.
