We Urge to Show Certain Flexibility

The Embassy of Armenia in the Russian Federation urges to show certain flexibility based on the available options. At the same time, it reminds that considering the existing restrictions, most hotels, particularly in Moscow, are closed to visitors.

This statement was published on the Facebook page of the Armenian Embassy in Russia. The announcement particularly states: "We inform you that during these days, numerous citizens are turning to the embassy regarding accommodation matters. At the same time, we have learned through our representatives and social media that many citizens who apply for accommodation refuse to continue staying with their relatives or in rented apartments, preferring to turn to the embassy. We also receive inquiries from citizens who have been residing in the territory of the Russian Federation for an extended period and do not have an urgent need for accommodation or emergency assistance.

We once again emphasize that the embassy provides possible accommodation for Armenian citizens who have arrived in Moscow from other cities and do not have a place to stay, as well as for those citizens who have temporarily left Armenia for Russia in recent times. Additionally, we would like to highlight that in order to implement activities in this direction, the embassy collaborates with the community organizations of Armenians in Russia.

In order to avoid various problems, we kindly ask citizens turning to the embassy to provide complete information for the relevant verification. In particular, it is necessary to clarify when the applicant entered the territory of the Russian Federation, whether they hold dual citizenship, and where they have been living and working prior to the application.

We also note that some citizens have refused accommodation in a facility located in Podolsk, citing that the rooms for six people were not comfortable. In this case, we urge to show certain flexibility based on the available options. At the same time, we remind that considering the existing restrictions, most hotels, particularly in Moscow, are closed to visitors."
