Vardenyats Pass Difficult to Cross for Trucks with Trailers

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that as of April 13 at 09:00, the roads in the territory of Armenia are mostly passable. The roads leading to Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake in the Aragatsotn region remain closed for an indefinite period.

The Vardenyats Pass is difficult to cross for trucks with trailers. According to information received from the Emergency Situations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia's North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi road is open only for freight transport after intensive snow removal work.

Meanwhile, it is reported that the ban on foreign nationals entering Georgia remains in effect. The ban does not apply to cargo transport. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
